Suicide Prevention Training Program Hosted by Towanda American Legion Post 42

The Suicide Prevention Training Seminar is being presented by the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center and will be led by Stephanie Jacobs, MSW, LCSW, a Suicide Prevention Coordinator. The program "VA  S.A.V.E" is targeted not only for veterans, but also is appropriate for the general public's knowledge.

S = Signs of Suicide
A = Ask the Most Important Question (Are you thinking of killing yourself?)
V = Validate the Veteran's Experience
E = Encourage Treatment and Expedite Getting Help

The public is invited to this free seminar with a special invitation to parents of active military personnel. Snacks and drinks will be provided.  Be the "one" to save a life by noticing the signs and taking action.
